what are the most appropriate teenage diets? Should diets be the same as for adults?

teenagres should have the same food pyramid in mind as aults (grains, bread, than fruits and vegetables, than meat and small amouts of sweets and fat). This pyramid should be leading example of proper nutrition as for teenagers as adults.
Teenagers should be especially careful since they can in future develop type 1 diabetes, which is only consequence of improper nutrition (too much diets rich in total fat or sugar or saturated fatty acids or in fruits and vegetables are associated with an increased type 1).
Besides nutrition it is also important for younfg person to develop healthy attitude toward exercising, which is also known to help reduce obesity in youngs and adults.

i don't think these teenage diets are a smart move, and could lead to really serious problems, such as bulimia pr anorexia. I think teenagers shouldn't really follow diets unless if being obese and advised so by doctor. but all other stuff that young girls and boys (but mostly girls) are complaining about is nonsense. If my daughter wanted to go on a diet, I would advise her to stop eating chips and snack bars, and eat fruits instead. I do know how teenagers eat and their eating habits are a big concern. Thus, instead starvation, they should start eating health and switch from fast food to healthy food and exercise.

* Forget about diet pills.
* Forget about all the stupid single-food type diets.
* Forget about fad diets.
* Forget about fat-burners.
* Forget about fasting.
* Forget about fast weight loss.
