ultrasound question in early pregnency

I have an ultrasound question for early pregnency.
I am 5 weeks pregnent and yesterday i went to the hospital, because of some very light vaginal discharge. doctor checked my ovaries- and supposedly they are ok, and then she did a ultrasound picture, but couldn't see embrio. She said it is not likely to see the baby, which is due to bleeding on one side, and on other because of the early pregnency.
Anyone else had this problems???

I didn't have this problem, but docotr is right. It is definitely in the first place because of the bleeding it happened. I know my gyn always told me to come on regular check-up few days after my period was over, so the uterus would 'clean' and he would be able to see with ultrasound.
And -second reason- it is still too early pregnency to see anything with ultrasound. Usually with ultrasound fetus is seen and heartbeat is felt after approximatelly 6-7 weeks.
Nevetheless, i hope you are/ will be ok.
