Hi!

I am 26 years old and have an ongoing problem: I have baggy eyes. The reason is not lack of sleep, because I sleep up to 8 hours daily, but heredity… I got it from my father. Is it possible to remove or at least reduce appearance of baggy eyes? Is anyone familiar with any kind of solution? I read somewhere that vitamin C is a solution for baggy eyes, but also that vitamin C is cancerous. If vitamin C is the solution for me, what technique should I use? Vitamin pills? I am in big dilemma, please help me!

Hi Taya!
I have similar problem. I think that vitamin C, in connection with baggy eyes, has to do with aging: vitamin C builds collagen and elastin to provide lasting support for the skin around the eyes, but this must not be a case with you, since you are only 26… however, I think that vitamin C cannot hurt you, off course if you take it in smaller amount (you have a point, when saying it is cancerous…but only in large amounts!) I guess you have lower level of collagen in your organism, and there are some techniques that will help you reduce baggy eyes.
If you want to take vitamin C supplements, look at one that contain bioflavonoids (vitamin P) as well. This is because vitamin P adds the potency to vitamin C, so the vitamin C will easier perform its work. I sound very clever Smile but I read this yesterday Smile
I personally do not take supplements, because the thought of taking pills to look better, doesn’t seem right to me… I do the raw potato slices Smile
It is very simple and relaxing. Raw potato slices help tighten baggy eyes. You need 10 minutes of your time and a raw potato: you can cut two slices (one slice for each eye) or if you prefer 5 or more very thin slices for each eye. Both methods work. (Slices have to be the size to cover eyes and area around it.) When you have prepared raw potato slices, wet you eyes and area around with water, lie down and place the potato slices on you eyelids. Relax! For best result, leave it there for 10 minutes.
I hope this will work for you as it does for me! Period, when doing this doesn’t matter that much. I do not have time in the morning, so I mostly do this late afternoon, when i come from work, it works anyway…
Good luck!

Thanks for advices Karma!! I shall go with both… vitamin C supplements and vitamin P, of course : ) Do you know maybe how often should I take it?

I heard for potato and I saw in magazines and elsewhere girls putting cucumbers and potatoes on their eyes, but never try it myself. I never thought this could really help. I guess it is time to try it Smile Is it ok if I practice this once weekly or should I do it more often?

I heard that vitamin c works as antioxidant and I also have a “recipe”. It is a pumpkin facemask. It works great for all skin types (with some differences in preparing). It is also beneficial for sensitive or environmentally damaged skin. Pumpkin mask is high in vitamin C, which works as antioxidant, vitamin A, which works for skin healing and zinc, for which I am not sure what it does, but I guess it can’t hurt Smile
You can use fresh or canned pumpkin, just cook it and smash it. Use 22 teaspoons pumpkin. When pumpkin is pureed, add ½ teaspoon honey and ¼ teaspoon milk. (Honey works as regenerator and I sometimes put on face just honey, although honey is somehow unpractical… it drains too much)
Ok, if you have dry skin, add ¼ teaspoon heavy whipping cream or ½ teaspoon brown sugar for moisturizing and if you have oily skin, add ¼ teaspoon apple cider for skin circulation.
Just mix all ingredients and apply on your face. Leave it for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water and then apply the appropriate moisturizer for your face.
You skin will look great and feel silky afterwards.

Some people take 250 mg of vitamin C per day, some 1000 mg, and some even above 10000 mg… I think it is best to consult your doctor. I am not a medically trained, so I am actually not competent to give such advices …
But I am an expert in potato slices Very Happy yes, it is enough if you do it once weekly, but if your eyes still feel tired and look baggy, do it more often, twice or three times a week.

Jolly, is a pumpkin mask just for the face or could be applied on the eyes?

Sorry girls! I skipped this important info!!! Sorry!!!
Pumpkin mask is for the face and you should avoid the area around the eyes!
I was so occupied with this vitamin C effect I forgot to tell you that! I am sorry once more and I hope I didn’t do any damage!
